Advisory Points Tracking

How to Give Points for Advisory

  •  Students do not earn a regular grade for Advisory, although you are encouraged to assign a Conduct Grade in IC!

  •  Students earn Advisory Points for AttendanceParticipationEffort, and Attitude

  • Students can also earn up to 35 additional points related to their participation with the JCPS Backpack
    • You will assign these at the end of the semester (Backpack Check day) if students have made progress with their backpack throughout the year

  • In Your Grade Level Folder:  Advisory Points Tracker for Semester 1
    • Students may earn up to 15 points each Advisory Period **
      • points for being present and on time (A)
      • 10 points for Participation, Effort, and Attitude (PEA)

  • At the end of the semester you will be asked to fill out an Advisory Points Card for each Advisory student
    • Students may use these Advisory Points as Bonus Points in their regular classes**
    • Students may also exchange points at a 1 to 3 ratio for Hero Points (e.g. 3 Adv. Points = 1 HERO point)
      • This will hopefully combat some issues with students who do not need bonus points OR whose teachers do not accept advisory points

**At teacher discretion
